Atlantic Herring (Clupea harengus)

Description:   Can be used for canning, marinating, salting, smoking or fresh preparations.  
                    Caught by purse seiner. Fat content varies between 8-16%.

Processing:    Whole round, fillet, skin and cut herring according to customer specifications.
                     Blast frozen.

Description:   Available from August to mid-October.

Description:   Meal is made from herring.  Cooked, steamed and put in dry product.

Composition: Protein..........72 - 75%              Humidity...........5 - 6%
                    Fat...............10 - 12%              Ash..................10 - 11%

Fish Oil

Description:   Oil made from herring.

Composition:  Free Fatty Acid (FFA): 2 - 3%
